Curtis motor controller for Aztec scooter

Postby MMKay » 16 Sep 2023, 07:46

I sent my motor controller to be repaired and the guy has since disappeared so I need a replacement. The scooter manufacturer wont tell me the model number and stupidly I hadnt taken a note of it and they want £350 to replace it.

The scooter is a Horizon Aztec 2 with single 1400w 24v dc motor

I think this is the (new version) of the controller I had and it appears to have the same plugs but I wanted to check if anyone could spy any problem with using this unit I have not seen?

That is an OLD version.

As I recall the plug pinouts are the same on both the 1235 and the later 1228 .

OLD Curtis 1235

Newer 1228 ( but only 70 amp in this listing ).

NEW 110 Amp from China.

NOPE...Plugs and Sockets are NOT the same...the 1228 has 18 pins the 1235 has 16 pins.

Count the connections on your plug.

I have a couple of 1225 110 Amp controllers that are surplus to requirements.
