Wheelchair travel survey

Postby ex-Gooserider » 03 Oct 2011, 04:11

Found the following over on the Junkie Wheelchair site - seems like a legit survey for whatever it's worth... Haven't seen a mention of it here, so thought I'd post so that anyone here that's interested could give it a try...

I am a PhD researcher from Loughborough University in the UK and I am looking into how amateur volunteered information (think Wikipedia) can help wheelchair users feel more confident when planning trips. This is important research that will help travel information be more accessible and inclusive for all in the near future. We are working closely with Transport For London, so the outcome of this research shall be seen on the international stage in the near future. But first we need your help!

Free Traveller is an online survey about how different forms of information provide different user experiences. Wheelchair users from all over the world (including USA and Canada) are invited to visit and take part. This should take no more than 30 minutes and involve nothing harder than looking at a few custom maps and saying how you feel about them.

In return you will be entered into a prize draw to win $250 (in your local currency equal to £150 GBP).

Please click on the link below to help us make travel information better for all and to find out more.

Someones done a lot of work to put this together. I've tried "Accessible London" via public transport - it has hiccups! - let us hope this helps!

Best,
