Look what I found!

Postby Burgerman » 08 Jul 2012, 23:02

I used to work for this bunch of nutters, britains biggest, best, looniest bike magazine. You can see my Dyno trailer, and my bike with a Burgerman plate, amongst other things on here. I forgot about this. There was a film crew messing about there. This is mostly bruntingthorpe, with a 2 mile runway where I spent much of my life.

Here testing some stock group of long term test bikes. The idea is to show what goes into a road test for the magazine.

Rothwell is actually a nice guy, but he scared the crap out of me both in his car and riding my bike at about 140 on one wheel, at each end... when I forgot to remove the key.

Keep your eyes peeled for my old ford Granada car, white dyno (DynoPower) dynamometer trailer too in the background.

Makes me feel old. This was about 20 years ago!
And you wonder why I turned into a loonatic. Do this stuff, spend much time drag racing bikes, and get paid for it and you cant help it.

All over, as am I, and my bike on the dyno right at the start with burgerman on the plate. And myself dyno testing a bike. That magazine did this for every bike. Speed, acceleration, braking, weight, handling, power/torque curves, and more. No manufacturer claims were ever used.

Looks old and low res, dated bikes etc now.
