Fun at the Asylum...

A little something that a few of the folks were playing with last night - not mobility related, but fun... BM especially might relate.

You can also see the prototype leg for "Stompy" the hexapod robot project in the background of some of the shots.

Incidentally the motor was only running to produce about 8 lbs of thrust - supposedly it could go up to 30, but the noise wasn't tolerable at that point. However it was enough to get the guy up to fast running speed in some of the tests...

This was actually just a spur of the moment thing - the main function was to do static testing of the board setup as part of an effort to create a "hoverboard" - who needs skate wheels....

Did you get my udpate on the rose joints I posted yesterday ?

Looks like its going to be a very close fit- if at all .

Also the rod end might be too small to fit at 12.7mm ( ideally I need 11mm or less width 13m )
