They cant agree, so everyone goes home? banghead

How does that help? And refusing to pay services etc? What does that have to do with it?

The shutdown is a sort of self inflicted punishment. However, y'all call for a new election to determine who will run the government (New PM). The folks laid off (Furloughed) are considered Non-essential. (not servicing critical services) Sort of disagreeing on the rules of a ball game, and the owner of the ball takes his/her ball and goes home. banghead This supposedly creates some sort of political pressure by one side or the other. :argument Meanwhile President :worship Trumplethinskin will try to show them all up by conceding some point or maybe two, that one side or the other, perhaps both is trying to demand! :clap .... He will claim victory and deal making success! cheers   Who knows if anyone won, there is no real score. :chillpill A participation trophy will be internally presented. drunk2

This is the question right? Quote; "They cant agree, so everyone goes home? banghead

ANS.....Check writers are not considered a critical service! This option does not consider how it helps! All that is considered is the presence of the actual Membership of Congress ! Pres. Trumplethinskin is a moron, but a cleverly manipulative one.. His intention is to make ALL the Congress look stupid, and unnecessary. Then he can try to achieve a authoritarian government, because he believes he is best suited to "Rule" the nation. I believe he has delusions of grandeur.

But if other countries politicians disagree and argue, then the cheque writers and all of the civil service workers will just roll along as before until changes to the systems rules are actually made. They dont just go home! Thats rediculous.

The mechanics of our governments are substantially different. The critical components of government, and critical services, are still fully in play, even the usually much maligned military pay. Which is not in play. This thing, is a political power play, within the congress. Tons of Bull Shit to be thrown about.

No, you guys would have dumped your Prime Minister, and formed a new Government, new PM and some changes in your internal alliances. Just different ways of doing pretty much the same thing. Since we operate on a 2 party system that is pretty much out. banghead
