Electric tyre pump

I was thinking of using a stepdown buck converter to power a 12V electric car tyre pump from the 24V batteries on my Rascal Vision scooter. But can someone who knows a lot more about batteries than me say if the shock load of about 15A @ 12V would damage my 75AH gel batteries?

They will not notice it. They can start a car, and give many hundreds of amps.

I might add, your tyre pump might take 12V 15A, but the 24V input from the battery will be half of that.
