My board is super polished and waxed. But the problem is this. Where my IT bones are, used to be covered with muscle and fat 22 years back... But not doing any walking means its all wasted away. So now theres just 2 bones and some skin. With 20 stone on top of it as I transfer. So imagine sliding that weight across on your knuckle... Same thing. So I suspect that the board is causing the biggest problem. Esp as its always the same spot and as big as a penny, and raw.
So today I slid across without a board, and it was not easy. Just a towel between bed and chair. I was knackered... And getting back later was even harder.
