Fasination of walking

Postby ICEUK » 18 Sep 2018, 08:04

It baffles me why some people put themselves through so many operations just to walk and most of the time its not a proper walk where you could walk to shops unaided and in no pain
.
People need to accept we cant do everything we want and move on, a chair isnt that bad. I was able to run years ago like anyone one else now im a full time chair user. Its not that bad
Is it?.

in my spinal unit, many ware walking with frames, and masses of hard work, and other assistance during physio. Mostly because its good for bone density, joints, muscles, circulation, keeping endons from shortening etc. I still use a tilt table for many of the same reasons. Also reduces spasm. So its maybe not always about walking into a shop for all.
