Does this Sergei disk include a win10 setup with all built-in apps removed? Or does it require a win10 setup iso but exclude built-in apps during installing?

EDIT no...

I add to the USB stick, my own LTSB win10 64, and a huge software store, inc the likes of office and half a dozen different operating systems. That snappy driver installer, and a bunch of other stuff myself. Because it allows you to then add any drivers that you may need, to see things like memory cards, or odd drivers etc installed after you boot from the stelec drive. And to install anything you wish. Including a complete backup of your C drive (compressed file, made with macrium). As that can be deployed as a ready to go windows instalation, as well, as a backup. To other computers. Even a mac... And it then boots, will need a few different drivers. Which are also on the stick.

Ah, LTSB is a special setup iso. I missed it was an installing type.

I still prefer the standard setup iso. I just do not like win10's built-in apps. Time to remove them is longer then installing a whole OS

LTSC is like a windows 7 version of windows 10...

Less updates (no aps or feature updates) and only delayed security updates.

It HAS no modern metro style aps, no store, no shitty browser (install firefox!). Nothing pushing you to use or do anything. It is a basic operating system without all the garbage and phoning home pay stuff that 10 normally comes with that is all but impossible to fully remove. Its what banks, or air traffic control uses. Its the windows 10 you need. Ideally you want Office 2019 to go with it. (I have that too.)

I only ever put this on every machine now. It saves 3 weeks trying to lock down and configure the normal versions to behave how you wanted to begin with because it comes that way...

I could upload a copy if you want. And a crack. Do you have FTP? Takes ages to upload though. Its easier if someone has a working link.

Thanks BM. But I still need the standard version of win10 with all its features. Dev tools need them to run properly.

I'm running all my previous development tools on LTSC no problem at all and with decidedly more stability. What 'feature' do you think they need?

- IIS to run/test sites
- Hyper-V to run android simulator
- Windows Store to run/demo uwp apps
And I think VS requires full win10 features to work properly.

The first 2 are easily loaded. The VM is already there but maybe some UI/utiities might need to be added. IIS can definitely be installed as a package. The Store is a package too but I don't know what dependencies it has. But I'd probably want that in a separate machine...

You can add the MS Store to LTSC by using this... https://s.put.re/96UKWRhr.zip That way you have the best of both worlds! :ugeek:

Doesent that kind of defeat the object of a nice clean operating system? Why would anyone want the store?

Snaker is developing his App to be available through the Store, therefore he has to test deployment and install scenarios which the dev tools automate but need a Store to work with...

Nope BM because it doesn't auto download apps you don't need/want like Home/Pro does. :fencing The only reason I add the Store is because I play the Candy Crush apps as well as a few others I use.

Why would it need to be through the store? Everyone I know hates the thing, and has it removed or disabled.

If I buy software, I want it as an exe file that I can safely keep, that will run on any version of windows now or in the future. For e.g windows 7.

Fair 'nuff BM! :) This version fixes the install of Intel NIC driver which has been broken since the July 2019 release on my ASUS Z390 MB's. czy

Maybe I'm going mad, but where's the download link on that page? Everything I click on either just opens another copy of the page or wants to install software to 'check my drivers' or similar...
