Impressed? :dance

As I've bored you before telling you I either sit/lie on the bed or on the floor... This a beat up ebay cupboard, I put castors on the bottom, reversed the cupboard door, made a magnetic catch, and made a drop leaf for putting my £99 tablet on for wathcing TV. (It's in the lounge)

Very good. If that were mine, I would fill all cracks with sawdust and glue, sand it all down, (ELECTRIC SANDER) and varnish it about 5 coats of satin varnish finish with all new screws etc. And refit the hinges after cleaning them up with brown sauce and then a wire brush... OCD rules.

Also...
Put 2 old wheelchair batts inside, and a 24v cheap maintainance charger. 2 to 5A. Ebay under 20 quid.
And a 1000w 24V inverter. https://www.amazon.co.uk/BESTEK-Inverte ... 2QHAZ9B6GF
Theres cheaper ones too.
Connect the inverter to a double plug socket on the side under your leaf.
Like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Charger-Socket ... -4-catcorr

Leave its charger plugged into the wall always, the auto charger will take care of things. The 2 plug sockets will give you 1000w output at 240V depending on which inverter you buy, even if theres a power cut. And will always run your phones. computers etc 24/7. Its just that you will always have a backup power supply. It will power lights, (add a table lamp!) etc or your lift chair.

Nice piece of furniture.

Is the furniture too old?

Solid old wood furniture is good. And the older the better. Everything is built out of cardboard or worse today. Thats why I would spend a bit of time on it and turn it into a battery backup power system. Good way to hide batts and electonics completely.
