I have looked for something similar with at least 4k output for an age. To connect to my computer screen. I realise it will cost more, but thats what I was looking for. Because at my age a 4 x 3 screen isnt adequate!

I would need my glasses to see that screen though! It happens as you age...

What were you doing there in the 80s? I left a decade before that when my school was a grammar school... By the 80s it was all communist labour run everyones child is equal bullshit... Kids all came out unable to do anything.

E.G. I built a double acting twin cylinder steam engine in metalwork when 14 amongst other things. And did O level physics, biology, chemistry, tech drawing, English language, english literature, etc etc. The year after I left it went all communist and comprehensive and CSE etc... All downhill I am afraid. Blame the stupid labour party. My school made industry leaders. People of merit that did and ran stuff. Now... Not so much!

The problem for my eyes is that to use that easily I need a bigger screen. I have already got a huge 55 inch one on my bench. But native resolution is 4k so anything less looks all pixely...

And I cant find anything that fits the bill. Even my laptop is 4k today (and broke!). My quadcopter is 4K... Its cheap today. Why dont they get with the show? Yes I know, bangood.. But while they do some good stuff at the right price, the think I want may cost more but shouldnt be that much more?

I don't know about the lens but the camera body has had good reviews, it's a Sony IMX true 4k sensor.

I've wanted to try one of these too. Not trying to be critical but I can't tell what that picture is? Is that part of a pcb...can you "zoom out" so to speak and see a larger area? It's been a long time since I used a microscope.

Wonder if using a foldscope ($30ish bucks), hd camera phone of choice, and send/stream to a larger screen would work.

Not sure about the foldscope but using my phone alone might be a big help Cornbread. Glad you mentioned it.
