Got the invoice from the Medical supplier for my new Quickie 636. Total was 17K dollars of which was paid for by Medicaid.
The thing has the worst steering response I could imagine ( rep said he could bring his programming box next week), and I left a 4ft skid mark letting off the joystick going around a corner downhill, so deceleration needs adjusting too. It is apparently nose heavy as it dives forward every time you let off the throttle. I will likely remove the entire seat assembly and replace it with an automotive bucket seat. The backrest feels like a very slight concave piece of plywood as my back only hits about 1/4 of it. The push bars are up at shoulder height, which is ridiculous looking and non-functional. The 22" seat depth comes too close to the back of my knees for me, and the Jay Fushion is not comfortable either
Worst part is those damned swing away leg rests which stick out like a wedding night dick, hitting every doorway and piece of wood they can find. So basically I only like it from the frame and below, well except for the shitty looking gray tires and the Group 22 batteries. It really is a shame that they get to charge $17K for this.
Earth: The Insane Asylum of the Universe-nowhere else could things be more screwed up.
