Hi woodygb,
update a little is I got the: 1314-PCPS_OEM_4-6-7-467, seems works in win7, is this version ok?

Best
Adam

1314-PCPS_OEM_4-6-7-467 is the latest Curtis version it may or may not work with the LXN4py2s.dll and QM_USB.dll .
NOTE:- That the MCP file will not be needed in this later version.
But it will not harm to try.

Check your P.M.

Use the earlier version.
Replace the original LXN4py2s.dll with the modified/downloaded LXN4py2s.dll.
There are 2 versions of the USB-CANBUS .... the CORRECT QM_USB.dll depends on which model you have bought...place the QM_USB.dll in the 1314 directory.

The downloaded MCP file replaces the existing one in the OLD 1314 Global directory.

Hi woodygb thank you for every thing,

You mentioned there are two versions of USB-CAN, can you find out what kind mine is from the pictures attached?
Or how to find out it?

Original QM type ..see logo just above the word USB.
Image

This requires the original QM_USB.dll

LMDZ Version ...this requires the LM_USB.dll to be used ..download ... https://1drv.ms/u/s!AkMTZUw5KF1egimcMDZXrJjPRJ5x and rename it QM_USB.dll

Hi woodygb thanks,

My USB-CAN is the second one, and I renamed the DLL, installed SETUP.EXE and copied the dlls, then hook up the two wires to the chair, when I used the 1314-4402, which may have no complete install? at least it's Options has much less items see pic.1. but the 4402 did some thing when click connect, see pic.2. almost done but stopped at any reason see pic.3 please.

As 1314-4401 has a more formally menu look like, but never do any thing and just say initialization error see pic.4, can you help what's wrong I am doing here?

Sorry the bad pictures.

Have you followed this guide for the 1314-4401 and selected ALL the correct Coms options?

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1965&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=216#p26731

With the 1314-4402 you will need to select the correct serial port number and MASTER MODE in Communication

Hi woodygb thank you,

Your word is a miracle, the device manager set the com 5 and the 1314 cached com 5, just no work before, now works after reset them.
I attached pictures here, can you tell me what should I do next to:
1. download the software to my computer;
2. overcome the red 'STOP LIGHT' on my joystick, some one said can ignore the tilt?

Thanks woodygb,

I just don't know how to save the program yet, I clicked a button in the top right of the 'save ...' , the machine is running 10 mins already. I should use a better computer.

Have you tried with the later 1314-4402?

NOTE :- I have never tried the later PC Programmer version with the CAN-BUS .... I maybe wrong about suggesting MASTER mode as the older version uses SLAVE ...also note that the later version has some built in anti tampering software that is intended to prevent the use of homebrew interfaces ...so it may not work with the A1 USB-CAN.

Was there a discrepancy between what Woody said
Replace the original LXN4py2s.dll with the modified/downloaded LXN4py2s.dll

and what Adam did
My USB-CAN is the second one, and I renamed the DLL
?

Thanks woodygb,

You are right, I did test a little of the new version, signed the com, no connection. I didn't go too far, seems the adapter is not right?

Do you know what's the command in 1314-4401 or 1314-4402 to save the program? I think it is the first thing I should do when connected.

Thanks LROBBINS,

No that discrepancy, the first paragraph mean the first .dll, and the second mean the second .dll.

mcp.zip
(133.83 KiB) Downloaded 195 times

The MCP directory file replaces that of the EARLY 1314 ...You will find the MCP directory in the Global dir of the 1314 program.

QM_USB.rar
(213.84 KiB) Downloaded 225 times
... This is the LMDZ USB file RENAMED ALREADY to QM_USB
LXN4py2s.zip
(48.47 KiB) Downloaded 205 times
....This file REPLACES the original LXN4py2s.

Thanks woodygb,
That all done.
I can't find the command to save the program now, are there any help file or tutors?
Also a slow action, when I try to check any modules' parameters, it takes long time and finally error.

Hmmmm ...I think that I remember someone with a similar problem that was solved by using using shielded cable from the USB-CAN to the plug....I'll look back thru the threads.

In the meantime try twisting your cables together.Image

The recommendation of that part of the thread appears to be.... use WINDOWS 7 and 2 wires in an Ethernet cable as the lead.

Thanks woodyg,
I tried twist the wires, short the wires up to 12 inch only, all the same.

Its better to take screenshots than Snipping, I'll make pictures that way.

I am searching the tutors on youtube, lot of them with handhold program...

Thanks woodygb,

I shift to another computer better, I saved the powerbase-parameters and aam parameters, and I used the parameters file editor open it, but I can't find where and how to ‘IGNORE’ the actuators, which I was told can changed my STOP LIGHT red on and let me be able to operate my chair.
I forward them to your PM, can you help me please.

Hi woodygb thank you very much,

My chair working now.
I din't find where to put the "IGNORE" yet, I just pull the device parameters, and modified the actuator's limited angle to the maximum, here is 78°, write to system, the red led disappear after power circle.

I guess its possible to reverse the joystick direction by program, will try later.

Thanks woodygb,

I need reverse the joystick's forward and backward.

I don't use the joystick to control the actuators, I designed a relay circuit to do that.

Adam,

Could you please answer this question..... as the solution may be to simply swap wires around at the MOTORS.
