Laptop, software, & leads OR handheld programmer?

Postby Scooterman » 19 Mar 2018, 09:03

Hi, I need to get myself either of the above.
I've got an s-drive lead (kindly supplied by woodygb) + software 14.4.3 but no windows laptop (only a mac). So I need to get myself a cheap secondhand windows laptop (I was thinking of spending about £80-£150?) and either an R-Net lead or VR2 lead depending on which controller the chair has (I think R-Net) but am not sure until it arrives.

Or I could buy a secondhand handheld programmer. This one has leads for both R-Net and VR2.

NB: I went down the buying a used laptop route, will any cheap windows machine do? It'll be purely for programming scooters and chairs.

I always prefer my PC to using a handheld.

Get something with windows 7 or 10 on it. Everything else is junk.

And its not cheap to get an OEM r-net dongle... Its not just a lead. And throw away the mac... :cussing

Thanks! Do you know if HH Programmers can access the locked factory settings as well? I vaguely remember reading once they can’t???

That’s a bit of a bummer, I think the chair might have an r-net, I’ll find out tomorrow. I was hoping woodygb could knock one up?

Not that simple. It will cost around 300... Or more. Or best to find someone close with the capability. Like myself, or anyone that knows what they are doing.
