Last year there was a leak. Long story short, a year redecorating, new carpets (whole downstairs now dark grey ceramic or dark grey industrial carpet tiles) so that no wheelchair damage! And easy to swap out a few tiles if needed. Plus walls, etc. All done. Ordered new sofa and chairs. Need a TV for my lounge.
Need a 65 minimum, or as big as poss. Reality (prices of 75 or bigger) set in...
Then went to a large TV shop. Compared every type and make of TV available on the same 4k content. Now I am even more upset.
The OLED sony, and OLED LG 65 inch screens just blow all the rest clean out of the water. With any content. They have perfect bright colours at all viewing angles. All the rest inc the so called qled competition simply dont! They can be bright, but dont have the saturation. They all look like a reflection in a dirty puddle in comparison and dull. Unless directly in front at 90 degrees. They also do not do real blacks. Only blue/grey and localised areas. OLED do perfect deep blacks and uber saturated colours. It looks like someone removed a sheet of plastic or something out of the way.
So now in a quandry. Was going to buy a cheap brand 75 inch. But when compared, to a 65 inch OLED they are just crap! So I now need to save 2.5k for ANOTHER OLED LG Television! Only a bigger one.
Shit bugger etc. Once you test and use OLED the rest are just crap!
My PC 55 inch OLED is still burn in free, and perfect! Best PC monitor on the planet completely regardless of cost. And when in bed its also the best 55 inch TV available for Netflix etc with 4k content!
