Hello.

When you buy a product abroad, (sometimes) you have to pay a customs tax.
It depends on the value of the product and who sends it to you.

In Spain all products over € 22 (bought in a store) pay taxes.
If the product sent by a friend, the maximum value of tax-free products is € 45.


How does customs work in your countries?

How is it in the UK?

Buy in china, or in hong kong and 90% of the time I never paid a thing.
Buy in AUS same thing.
Buy in USA and get charged VAT 20% plus a fee from the UK post service of some kind. Seems to vary. And they charge even if correctly marked as TAX RELIEF CLAIMED and correctly shipped. Because for Disability related items we should not pay. Trying to get it back is almost impossible as the phone is never answered.
