Like this? Not sure about its seating module. It uses an r-net controller. Theres a couple on here that may know. But its not a generic powerchair part, like the r-net control system, its an etac thing... So you may struggle for info.

with great difficulty, have you dont an actuator calibration? you will need the special software and cable to read sbf faults. whats your location?

its a standard 9pin cable

the cable on its own is useless without the 2 items of software. i have the software necessary but you can brick your chair if you are not entirely sure what you are doing with it.

If your PC has only USB ports and no conventional Serial Port, you will need a good quality USB-to-Serial adapter cable instead of a serial to serial 9 pin cable (or find a PC with an old fashioned serial port).

Maybe have circuit diagram for r-met dongle. PLEASE help to solve error 1022 on r.net controller.

1022

Module Error

Either the Trip Code has been entered incorrectly, or a Module Error is being reported.

This occurs when the control system detects a trip within a specific module. The module will be identified on the diagnostics screen.

Check all cables and connectors to the module.
Cycle the power.
(If possible)Remove the module reporting the trip from the system.
Cycle the power.
If the error has gone, the module reporting the error may require repair, contact your service center.

I'm confused - the OP is talking about a serial connection with the Etac system, but its appear this system also uses an R-Net controller? Then the OP wants info on the R-Net dongle and a serial connection to it? There are no serial connections in an R-Net system. Unless the chair manufacturer has developed a proprietary device with its own programming interface independent of, but coexisting/integrated with, R-Net. Can we clarify if that the situation here?

yes, the sbf box is attached to the rnet system. the sbf controls all chair seating functions, inhibits and speed control. it is notoriously unreliable. it has its own software and db9 serial connection for programming and calibration of actuators. ordinary rnet trip codes are uesless here.

Ah, thanks for confirming that, it all makes sense now! So the error code 1022 is a generic "module error" which appears on the R-Net screen, but has nothing to do with the R-Net system. I know there's a CAN message which puts a defined piece of text (stored in fixed memory, not dynamic AFAIK) on the controller screen.

Obviously the sbf box is capable of receiving and sending R-Net messages from the JSM but I guess this capability was added to an existing product rather than reworking it to be fully integrated into R-Net as Permobil did (well sort of).
