Never had such messy graph ever. It was all over my screen . banghead

I thought of loose connection in the first instance , but the connectors are solid copper and I use spring lock washers as well. The current was low , 22A only, limited by XLR plug .

I once worried it were cells internal resistance .

I re-examined all connections and tightened a few. It went better for a while only , or jumped from one connection to another connection .

The connectors are 1.2mm thick solid copper . Cell terminals are aluminum .
Dare not to over tighten it.

Gave up finally . Removed all of them . Re-connect with ordinary wire to see what's the result .

It seems everything OK now . Waiting my chair to go empty to receive a 170Ah discharge .

I think the copper connector is too strong for the aluminum terminal , that I can't apply enough pressure to create enough contact between the two.

May get thinner copper strips instead .
Any suggestion ?

Dont use bus bars. Use those Ring terminals and cables. Some bad connection somewhere.

i would have taught that those buss bars would have been great - solid - good connections etc, - i guess all the fuss i was worried about when i got my buss bars that were what i though very thin - i doubled up on mines and they made a good connection. i made sure the bolts were tight and locktite them.

so too thick is not good then either - good to know - if using cables and rings - would have to double up on some of them ? takes a bit more time to make the cables but they do work well - i did it for my 60ah ADD ON and its solid connection.

These https://www.lifepo4-batteries.com/sale- ... f-car.html

Unknown company here or get 16 cells from shirley_hkg.
I suppose getting the 8@176Ah would be easier? I have no clue what to do :( HELP :)

Sometimes they shellac Cooper bus bars which needs removing. I guess it's applied to prevent oxidisation?

Maybe it's faux copper

You wont be needing the battery then. So you can lend it to me for a year.

I felt the same after xmas when I had to pay about 3k for carpets, OLED TV, sofa, 2 chairs, lighting, and other incidentals after my leak problem.
Then a week later, my washing machine and dryer failed within hours... And 2 days later my fridge/freezer, and central heating boiler. Another 2k+ later we are back to where we started. And bankrupted! :fencing :cussing  banghead

Now need to spend nothing for about a year.

The problem with copper is that even if cleaned with steel wool or abrasive paper it oxidises instantly. Better to use tinned or plated stuff. And those spring washers make things worse. You want flat washers, stainless cap screw bolts, and a little loctite on the THREAD only. And because the cells move, the solid bars are worse. Better to use ring terminals, soldered wires. Nothing moves.

I know how you feel.
The 8 cells with nuts\washers and connectors. Came to £1,000. I just hope they don't get to me with tax!

My daughter said I can sell my Vive VR headset to pay for the rest of what I need.
Pooing bricks at the moment.
What is the best way to check my PL8 when it comes today?

Use it.

Connect to PC, CHECK for 3.33 firmware, load a few presets from on here, and make a cable to charge a lead chair and test.

I agree, I was thinking that as well. My scooter gets jolted about on 3rd world condition uk roads so flexible links (I.e. cable) would be better.
Btw What about braided copper links? Not easy to make a Decent hole in without it fraying :problem:

Trouble is they're all a bit long, unless you bow the back up like a caterpillar. It's a shame i will have a look for some shorter ones. :ebay Plus they are pretty expensive for what they are. Although that is £ per pack. How many in a pack i wonder? :problem:

those would be nice the branded links - its getting the correct size i think would be hard - i would try one and see how it fits - then order the rest to be safe -

do you need to heatshrink over them to be safe ? i would assume go for the higher rated amps - cant hurt - 200A model ?

Could this be causing the problem Shirley?

Maybe there's slightly different current going down the two series links? Why not try it with just a single link, you don't need two.
