Hello.

I'm expanding my work (powerchair) tools.
I have a Fluke multimeter and I want to buy compatible crocodile clamps.

Valued options:

They are OK for a one off use. Dont go near 240V or anything with them. And too thin and low quality for current measurements.

Personally I would buy a set of decent branded leads, that were 600V rated. I actually did, but fluke leads and clamps are not so cheap. I have wire peircing long connector ones, croc clip ones, and those that hook over wires and components. Get ones with thick wires, very soft and flexible.

I'm just gonna use them at "very" low voltages.

Sooner or later though you will find yourself trying to fix a power supply or something. You will measure the inputs, and the parts on the board that should have the AC power. And some spike comes down the line from a higher voltage flashover 60 miles away, or lightening, and boom, you are hurt or dead.

I never used to think about that until I spoke to a few trained up power guys. You can get thousands of volts intermittently on a simple house supply. And cheap chinese meters explode! Even the ones supposedly safe 1000V standards. The chinese will add anything for more sales! Your fluke is safe until you add cheap leads.

Get something like this, and avoid AC systems.
