I know I am to little to late, but curious as to how much these sell for and if 500 on ebay is worth it or I can find cheaper elsewhere?

Nobody sells these cheap but OEM is going to be hard to get. We are not worthy.

You better sit down!

In another R-Net thread I said I was going to convert all my chairs to 120A R-Net. (some are olde pilot plus systems).

As such I now have aquirred since feb? I think:
3 of, 120A power modules. (I paid 80, 100, 125 pounds)
3 of, advanved colour metal shell colour joysticks 1 wih BT and all 3 with infra red. (All were 125 delivered)
3 of, 6 channel seating and lighting modules (ISM6) (I paid 35, 50, 65 incl all cables and connectors on one of them)
A bunch of different length bus cables to connect them all, some for free some bought, some came with various modules.

An IOM module
An OEM programmer (not included in price below)

ALL as new!
Actually some like all the joysticks ARE new.
Some from eBay, in the US and UK. Some from Tom http://www.thepowerchaircompany.co.uk/
and some from Rover on here.

Thats enough to fully equip 3 hi end best of everything, high power (120A), all singing/dancing rehab powerchairs with powered everything, and lights, for under 900 uk pounds for the lot. Thats 300 per chair.

Who says powerchairs are expensive? They CAN be relatively cheap. Or you can pay a dealer 800 for a joystick alone.

It depends how you look at it.
1. you can rent it out on eBay!
2. if you do as I just have and aquirred a bunch of r-net systems, then it makes sense to have 1 programmer.

It also means you can help others as I often do.
It also means that I can sell my Pilot plus stuff on eBay, and also the programmer. So it ends up costing almost nothing long term.

Hi BM, Rover got in touch and I had a think about it overnight. If I hadn't already rented a dongle and modified my own chair's settings and also having a 120A r-net as back up (with same settings), I would have bought Rover's.

Admittedly it would be nice to have my own dongle, but then it'd be nice having a lot things....like looks and brains! drunk2

Already have those, so I bought a dongle.

Your settings, like mine and what you prefer, will change as you gain experience and understand more about whats possible and want to change and fine tune a few things. At which point you are screwed...

And charm too SM! :D But like BM says, having your own dongle gives you the freedom to fine tune your settings which can take many weeks/months to perfect it. I still tweak my chairs from time to time.
