Here are some archives.
Burgerman wrote:Non of that looks secure or safe to ship if you ask me. My previous chairs that came by carrier came from germany with a pallet and a heavy strapping holding it in place. That stuff that looks like 1/2 inch wide plastic with crimped metal joiners. Over axles, frame on foal, etc. And with arms and controllers removed, backrest removed, all packed seperately in boxes as well as the charger and all securely strapped on to the seat inside a heavy box. All of that was in a really heavy cardboard case/cover with wooden bars up the corners inside. Full of plastic bags filled with shaped polyurethane foam to fill in all the gaps. Very solidly packed. You would have been able to roll it end over end without any damage or anything moving. And a pig to unpack...

Yes but you can't buy a modern RWD chair in the US
Yes, Pride still has the Rival. But they do not count.Burgerman wrote:There are smaller folding or shopping centre or portable ones though/ And no rehab style with smaller 2 pole motors and smaller batteries? Pride do one?
And quickie (sunrise) as our freind expresso in new york has 2?
But seriously hard to find.
Here there are quite a few. This craze for mid drive with all those wheels to hit everything and high centering outdoors is much less popular.
In many cases there are front, mid, and rear drive variants of the same chair.
For e.g. Scroll long page. Since this is the same manufacturer that does the quickie chairs it makes no sense that they dont also offer the same chairs in the US. Same with other manufacturers. We have invacare rear drive chairs, and even the storm 4 explore brushless or 4 pole chairs.

Dan wrote:Airports in the UK can NOT question a persons disability. If your serious about getting your cousin to bring you a chair all she would have to do is pretend she can not walk. If asked she could say she has MS and cannot trust her legs so uses a chair. She would have to be lifted into and out of her chair. She could also not go to the toilet while on the plane.

It also has the only logical placement of rear suspension design , between pivot and load.

How weird is that!
You have a massive local market, as big as the EU, no rehab rear drive chairs?
Bounder? Yes, not modern, chain drive etc. Why? Thats just odd.
