I have started charging up the cells to give them a test discharge and so far its not going to well. The worst one was only 85Ah discharging at 10Amps, I'm trying it again at only 5Amps. Others have been about 95 Amp hours.
They get a bit hot charging at 30Amps?

If these are 105Ah cells they should be fine charging at 30A. If you worry theres no harm charging slower at say 20A,

And you should get between 100 and 105Ah out. At 10A. Or 5A or 20A...

Shirley had a large shipment. Most gave over 100Ah.

I would be happy if they were all around 100Ah or I might be finding out how good the aliexpress 29 day money back guarantee is.
Just in case I'm doing something dumb here are the charge and discharge settings.

I have also uploaded the preset being used.

Not necessarily. Is it still working, does it charge/discharge ok? They are tolerant of some abuse, don't write it off too soon.

Thanks. I charged it up a bit and discharged it and it seems to be functioning OK. I thought there was not much room in there hanged I''m to angry with myself to deal with it now. I will try and fully charge it tomorrow.

Having muscular dystrophy fucking sucks, before I would have had no problem with this sort of thing, now I have to use both hands to be able to lift one cell and I have to rest my arms on the chair's armrest.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.

Burgerman is there any chance you can do PL8 settings file for;

Eight of these cells in series. 24V
Two cells in parallel then four of them in series 12V
And a full pack, which I guess is 2P8S
cheers

For the first charge after assembly, make it @3.485V and balance starts at 3.40V.

YOU don't want the fullest cell lingers at high volt for prolong period.

In an ideal world yes, but it confuses people. Also balancing at 3.4 volts balance start can unbalance a pack... So must never be left set to that for subsequent charges.

3.600V Is already lower than the 3.6 to 3.7v (3.650) that the manufacturer says is safe. And most BMS allows up to 3.8 or more in repeated spikes as they slowly balance for hour on hour...

Yes a 24V pack made out of 16 100Ah cells. They are more like 95Ah.

And also settings for 8 cells in series, in case I just decide to make an add on pack out of 8 cells.

When balanced at 3.6V I then switch to from charge to discharge and take a couple of Ah out of the pack (to pull the voltage down).

That's if I charge in the evening and won't be using the mob device until the next day.

Wise move. If not using longer, take out 10Ah. If not using for a week, take out 1/3rd the packs Ah.

Now, dans presets...
Charge each CELL individually with the single cell preset, BEFORE assembly.
Then use the 100Ah or the 200Ah preset to charge with balance wires connected.

" It is meant for the FIRST charge only .
It hasn't completed yet. Change it back to 3.6V, and finish the rest of the charge. "

Yes, keep it as short as possible while leaving some slack for flexing.
