Invacare washers/spacers for rear wheels

Postby clairc » 24 Oct 2019, 20:53

Hi!

Does anyone know where I can get some washers with a notch cut in them like these? (Number 10 on the diagram)

My hubby bought me some new wheels for my Invacare Fox. The new wheels are for an Invacare Mirage/Spectra and we need washers or spacers to make them fit.

Thanks!

Thanks, duke1. Making the washers was our plan B, I just thought I'd ask to see if I could get hold of any first.

through a dealer if you supply part numbers, may have to wait a whilst though.

there is a minimum order value so may have to wait until a dealer is placing other orders

This may be a silly question but unless the shaft key is stuck in the axle keyway, why does the spacer need to be slotted for the key? The key is unlikely to extend into the motor housing where it would interfere with seals. Why won't a correctly sized flat washer do? Does it matter if the spacer turns with the wheel, flanged adaptor, axle against the motor housing which doesn't rotate?

Google "notched washers" you will find them. Or arbor spacers.
