Is does work for banana plugs and Anderson connectors, I soldered son yesterday. I just wondered whether a chisel style too would transfer heat to large connector more efficiently?

But if the horseshoe tip is right for job then I won't get a bigger one.

I wouldnt be at all surprised. Those types of crimped cables have kept generations of auto electrical places in business for generations!

True - lets see - so far the cable wire i am making looks good instead of buss bars - using 8 awg - 8.3mm2 about 3 inches long - bends nicely

Any suggestions/recommendations for a stand for a soldering iron? Are the spiral wire type the ones to get?

I have one of these. I'll admit it's overkill for the occasional soldering job, but the hot air side is great for big Anderson or ring/spade connectors.

Mines this, but I’m pleased with it it works well and heats up really quickly. It’s just that I need a holder for the iron.

This will do for a small iron, it's similar to the one I have on my c25y old 15w Antex iron.

Strange, it's not showing as an add-on product to me, but yes, possibly due to Prime membership and rate of purchasing . However you might be better off with this one, has a heavier base and better reviews.
