For those interested. Another way.

The hard to find standard 9.5mm connectors here fit the large motor and battery connector pins on all the r-net controllers here. So ideal if soldered, and ADHESIVE heat shrink is used. The smaller connectors, 6.3mm fit the smaller brake connectors on the power modules as used in the motor connectors plastic blocks too. These also should fit into the old plastic connector housings but those are not actually needed. These are what I use to make up looms, and when I remove the "wrong" motor conectors. So you dont need the official plugs and connectors. But its just another way. Ideally to do a strong job you do need to solder and use adhesive HD 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 heatshrink. Solid and low resistance when done properly.

I sent him a message about buying vr2 connectors. I never thought buying a connector is so difficult, actually impossible.

yes its not easy to find the connectors for chairs on ebay - they seem to have everything you dont need - and sometimes you get lucky

In Vietnam, people rarely buy goods on Aliexpress or Alibaba, they are not reliable enough. But we frequently buy on taobao. There are a lot companies offer service of buying+shipping goods from taobao. Their service is surprisingly good and the cost of service is very affordable, just a couple of dollars. Some months ago, I saw vr2 connectors on taobao and ordered through their service. The items arrived at their warehouse, they checked and found the items were not as described. The connector kits only had the pins without the plastic shells. They returned the items to the taobao seller and refunded to me. I am not sure if these items on Aliexpress this time fall in the same situation. Maybe I have to contact the seller and ask him take a pic first.

I feel that generic spade terminals are not safe if using in powerchair because they do not have shells with locks like the VR2 connectors.

Still avail. Get them while you can. I bought 3 complete r-net systems, CHEAPLY because I waited and watched for years and grabbed the options if/when they appeared cheap. Spares or upgrades are essential for the shelf!

If I didnt have 3 already I would take it as a spare part. They do occasionally appear on the US eBay for that sort of price. And the UK eBay. But you gotta be fast as it will disappear in hours. You need to be regularly checking to spot them. Or you only see the re-listed ones where they added the date into the price...



Same thing with joysticks. They appear occasionally and are sold in moments if the price is right. Sometimes new, or factory refurbs, which amounts to the same thing in a brown box. I ended up with 3 of the advanced colour CJSM2 https://www.cw-industrialgroup.com/Prod ... ules-CJSM2 for between £125 and £150 each. All were the same, and brand new (possibly factory refurb? Cant tell). Complete with original unused cables and screen protectors still on.

NOTE: These are NOT the cheapened permobil branded similar appearing ones. Those are hard to read outdoors, smaller screens, and a few buttons missing. Otherwise they are similar appearance at a glance in a photo. Beware!

The large screen generic R-Net CJSM2 one is brighter and clearer and visible outdoors and has the two extra and pretty essential buttons!

90a doesn't use that shape module. Rnet 90a uses the vr2 module body.

I know. But I would still question the mismatch of image and description - much easier than trying to get a refund when you don't get what you were hoping for.

They are very easy to deal with. A quick email will get you a confirmation. I suspect its what it says on the tin.

It says on the wording and on the picture two different things, so be careful.

From experience, buying various things, wheels, and a charger, and a complete chair, the thing that is correct is the pictures. Those are the actual items for sale on each ad/ebay/website. The thing that may be wrong is the text. The ads are re-used that frequently describe the wrong thing completely. Or have left overs from other parts etc. And prices are all over the place. They have identical items or parts for sale at wildly different prices.

yes i noticed what they do - they use the same item for a few ads with different prices and end up selling the one with the lowest price which is the price they wanted in the first place

so they put an item for $100 - same item for $250 and again for $325 etc, and guess which item gets sold fast - the $100 one which is the only one they have to begin with or they may have 3 of them and if someone pics the $325 one they just made a killing

if you see 5 same items - you would pick the lowest price - most likely - its usually the same item reposted 5 times with 5 different prices

Looks like I need a replacement so it may as well be an upgrade.

Seems to me that this seller creates nonsensical/ambiguous listings and keeps old links alive with new old stock, so who knows what they are advertising. I'd call them before checking out any item to check what it actually is.

Called them first thing Monday morning. Spoke to a chap in the parts department. He confirmed he had already packed me up a 120A unit. This duly arrived on Thursday, and I can confirm that it is a 120A unit - although not the one in the photos.

You can immediately feel the difference between the two units. Presumably the 120A unit needs a lot more weight in the heatsink, and I guess one or two components are heavier-duty too. It definitely feels more 'industrial-strength' compared with the PM90.
