Nope. You need to load at the very least a bunch of settings, but specifically a correct preset thatt has 1 or 2 hidden changes or you will get errors when theres cell imbalance and too short charge times, or whatever.

You really need a fuim3 from somewhere. Maybe where you got the charger from. Same with those balance connector wires.

The only place I ever saw the 36 inch pl8 cables for balance was pl8 sellers, hobby shops. And the US and Singapore manufacturers sites. I always ordered both plenty of the long balance leads, as well as fuim3 at the same time to lump all the shipping together.

The connectors, 4mm can be found on amazon. Locally. I can find and link but thats UK ebay.

Can I please get the settings for connecting Shirley power supply to pl8 close to charging my 8x 200ah cells. So close to putting in chair. Just want to know got amps & volts correct.

Can I get John charge profile for Pl8.

I've got "Your lithium battery is LiFePO4 8S and its charge voltage should reach a MAXIMUM of 28.80V or rather 3.600V per cell”

Also can I get a wiring diagram for 8 cells.

Thanks as always for the help.

First question? Set to 24V and to 50A, if anderson. If using front terminals 25A.

In PL8 IN SUPPLY TAB set to max or 28V and min 10V and max amps to 45A. (20A if on front terminals)
What Ah are the cells/pack?
200?

Use the closest one here, and post a screenshot of the graph. Then we can fine tune after that. Charge each cell individually before assembly.

The software for the pl8 charger in Windows 10 won't give me the USB driver for Fum3 cable.

You are already connected to the charger right?

Then you dont need it. Its for older windows. And I just tried it. Takes you to a page that says you dont need it... And you dont.

If your connection is giving trouble make sure the connection is set to auto on the program and then close the program. Then disconnect the FUIM3 from both the PL8 and the computer. Then download the driver (you can't download one if the FUIM3 is plugged in, but I think the computer already has a driver anyway, at least mine did.)

You might need to sort out conflicting devices in your computer's device manager.

Dammit I already forgot what the order of actions was for reconnecting, but I did what the fma download usb driver page said and it worked.

Switch on the computer last of all and there is then a light on the FUIM3.

Give the computer a few minutes after you see that light to connect with the PL8 properly. Maybe your computer does it quicker than mine!

Hope this helps.

If I set mine to auto it automatically selects the wrong device and crashes the program. But I have many USB serial devices.

Also every windows operationg system, 32 and 64 bit, since 7 has a driver built in. And if you are using anything from before that then god help you.

You may need to select the correct serial port manually. Thats why you can...

Those 2 Andersons in the chair will have a link between them.
More than likely it will be between the nearest connectors as shown in the first pic.... the link could however be on the other 2 with the 24v being taken from the middle pair.

You have not connected up any cells yet?

You need to do that next.

Then you need to charge/balance.

Then put battery in chair.
