I actually found a video on youtube showing how the legrest works. It shows all the functions it should have in modes. I think mine is just the programming that doesn't give me all the modes. It should have 3 mode options to separately adjust the legrest actuators. I have attached photos of the R-net joystick and Crtl+5 control box that my chair has. Do I need a dongle to connect my chair to my PC to program it, and if so where can I buy one?

Yep, some marketing campaigns are definitely hilarious. I actually didn't read through it till now. Unfortunately I don't have your knowledge at all on wheelchair components, but I do see what you are saying : )

I got the chair for a really good price and the Quickie QM-710 I have hasn't given me any problems yet. I have to add though, I have never had a chair from another manufacturer, so I have nothing to compare it to. The Q700M is only my second power chair. I know the site is for more experienced users, but this page is the only knowledgeable place I could find that knew about reprogramming r-net systems.

Thank you

No, ALL, anyone!

Yes you need a dongle. You probably need an OEM level one. Which they normally refuse to sell us. But there are ways. Theres nothing wrong with the chair. Only the marketing bullshit! They think everone is an idiot and just write a bunch of garbage to impress the masses.

You can usually use a dealer level dongle with the OEM software with a workaround. Which is easier to get and cheaper in most cases. What is a Ctrl-5???

Could someone please send me the OEM software. I have a super old version that I think only works in Windows 7. Thanks

Ok cool, thank you. Definitely learning a lot on here

I thought that might be the case thank you. I am sure with a dongle and a bit of guidance I should hopefully be able to get the chair reprogrammed. Do you please have any suggestions where I can get my hands on the OEM dongle please? I thought I will try my luck out on ebay, but nothing there. Yes so true, marketing will sadly always be just that, trying to convince the masses their products are magical

Could you also please send me the OEM software?

The Crtl+5 is just a little switch box that has functions for your power chair. So instead of navigating through the modes on your joystick, you can just push a switch that is programmed for a specific function like tilt for example. I added a link below that gives a bit more details.

I am not sure what the other manufactures ones are called, but Sunrise Medical went with Crtl+5. Yes, couldn't agree more, it does sound like a keyboard command, weird name for a wheelchair component :D

Hi everyone, hope you are all well and keeping safe.

Is there perhaps anyone in South Africa that has a dongle and software that can program a Quickie chair please?

Thank you.

I would doubt it. Mostly europe, and us, odd one in south america. Even australia. You may be lucky, but I suspect you will have to buy a dongle.

Thank you for the reply Burgerman. I thought that might be the case. I am looking around on the forum to see if I can find one for sale. I will check out ebay too, but usually they don"t ship to SA.

Its highly unlikely that any dongle or software can increase speed unless its been reduced for some reason.

But check PM.

Anyone have the latest download link for the R-Net Sunrise OEM Software? I currently have 6.3.8. I'm getting a new Permobil M3 2021 next week and am trying to get everything ready. Man, I'd love to find an OEM dongle.

Thank,
David

He can change the speed to full and the torque(and other things) as long as he has the software and dongle thing.

Never seen a scooter go backwards.
And still better then your 1850s tank steer :)

It does?
Any examples?

Its the other way around.
Different manufacturers have additions that the generic one may not include. But the latest versions dont remove any options that I know of. I may have an old version or two however.

Wheelchair speed in motor section is either voltage (usually set to allow some headroom for better steer responce under load or when battery is low).
Or DISPLAY speed.
Those are the things that set wheelchair max speed.

Thats all the previous versions can possibly change. Even if named differently. One refers to the speed displayed on th joystick when at full 100% forward stick. It doesent change actual speed. But only what you see.
The voltage does change actual speed. But you cant go faster than battery voltage and so unless you change to lithium which means around 1.5V more, you cant gain anything much even if you increase it.

So they may have removed it and/or renamed it. Cant be bothered to install it to find out. However the funcionality remains. Remember you cant go faster than the battery voltage allows. If you want a LOWER top speed you set that in the motor section under Volts.

If you want to go slower, in a profile then you set that in SPEEDS.
