DR90-A01 repair

Postby niklas-k » 19 Feb 2021, 20:28

I'am trying to repairing a controller DR90-A01 and one issues error code or what I think is an error code. Can not see in the manual what the error code is?
Are there any special codes that anyone here recognizes?
The direct thing I know is wrong is the 15 volt rail does not provide output voltage. It may also explain why it is not possible to connect to the wizard program.
Sends with a video showing the LED.

Another post of yours mentions building a serial adapter based on a schematic found on this forum .

Your video seems to show that you have bread boarded the RS232 SERIAL version BUT you appear to be trying to connect using a TTL serial adapter.

If I am correct then you simply need to swap out the TTL serial adapter for a RS232 DB9 Serial version.

OR

If that adapter has a GENUINE FTDI chip ... you could try using FTProg and invert the RX and TX signal.

Uses USB to Serial adapter( GENUINE FTDI chip) => serial to TTL adapter => DWIZ adapterhttps://hsto.org/webt/ae/ma/s-/aemas-pypeocxyoqkvzwrbxner8.jpeg and works on one of my 2 controllers.

One short flash is low voltage but on this is one long flash.

I think I give up trying to repair it. Have another that I fixed and works well now!
