R-Net PC Programmer OEM

Postby wheels » 28 Jun 2015, 02:44

Hi there,

It was only through the sheer frustration of trying to find software relating to programming my wheelchair these past few weeks, that I realised if I ever managed to find what I was looking for, then I would share it to benefit others in the same position I was in. I got hold of my BiPAP machine's full software Respironics EncorePro the other day so I published links for anyone to download that this morning. Hopefully it will help someone trying to change their device too!

Anyway... I'm hoping someone might do me the same kindness and provide me a link to download the OEM version of "R-Net PC Programmer" if at all possible please? I've found the dealer version, that you can download too using these login credentials: http://sunrise.pgdrivestechnology.com/ but I cannot find anywhere online a copy of the OEM version. I'm trying my luck using two different emails/stories to PGDT's file access request form, but I doubt I'll have much luck even though I have two dongles, but not with the original boxes with the software serial number on them. It's only because my wheelchair seller has leant me his dongle as part of my sales agreement, have I got one at all to play around with!

Anyway, thanks very much for your help!

Joab :)

June 2016 V6.0
- CJSM2 support - below

Was the last actual programmer change. So ver 6.0 on, is as new as you really need.
The .0.1 and .0.2 minor revisions just added a few more TV presets etc for the infra red, that is included on the advanced colour joystick below. For eg, it now includes my new OLED TV used as a PC monitor. So I can control it without the remote! Plug and play.

Another thing thats worth knowing. The sunrise version, and possibly other branded versions if we find them, have a good few extra tech setting options missing from the OEM version.

One example, the generic OEM has no option to set max output voltage to the motors. Default 21.6. The sunrise one allows a speed increase, if adjusted upwards to say 23.5V for lead, or 25.5V for lithium. Doesent sound much. But with the lack of voltage sag on lithium, makes a 6.2mph chair do about 7mph. And an 8mph chair do 9,3 according to my math. And expresso/snaker...

Ah how interesting! Thanks for that. I've got a copy of the dealer version for Permobil, but I'd love to find the OEM version. Depending on what type my next wheelchair is, I'll contact R-Net and try to get access to another branded OEM version that hasn't been sourced elsewhere.

For what its worth...
The Sunrise Europe version IS the newest version. As well as having more options to adjust like motor max voltage.

Just noticed that the section called ENGINEERING is not included in the Generic version either. The Sunrise version has many additional bits!

That's why I stick with the Sunrise version as it has more settings to tweak/fine tune. :geek:  Pity you can't raise the Low Voltage cut off point to 24v as this would be better protection from running Lithium cells too low.

Its good enough at 22V as its over 2.7V per cell. As an emergency stop. As long as all your cells are equal and one group dont drop lower first. As they do...

So you should really stop when you lose a green as currenly configured. But I suspect the batt calibration my allow us to set that. Test it and tell me what it does. Set it to say 50% or 150% and try it. I cant. Still stuck on bed but almost fixed! You will need a few hours to test as the daft battery meter thinks you are on lead.

The new CJSM2 joystick you have is a brilliant improvement over the older LCD joysticks like I've still got... Having IR and bluetooth are such good features to have built in. Before this came out, you used to have to buy an omni add-on to have IR controls from your wheelchair...

Bluetooth is not built in as standard, worth noting.

I've been using one of these for about a year now. So much better than the previous LCD version.. The bannana shape make the screen much easier to see.but it could do with a non reflective screen.Bought mine directly from P+G which they'll sell to a user as it's plug and play. Just for fun I asked my 'dealer' (now defunct) how much. First reply was ' they didn't think it was for R-Net' !!!!!. I asked again and they came back with a price £210 more than the P+G price and would only supply if they fitted it for + £110

In programming, you can set background colours to white, high contrast. It doesent look as pretty and so I set that for outdoor profile only. So you can see it more easily outdoors. If that may help you.

I have the CJSM2 joystick. Does OEM R-net 6.0.0 allow me to edit the 2nd function on buttons? The dealer had to update his version to do it.

The CJSM2 joystick has two aux ports and by default one is mode and the other is off/on. The Permobil website says you can add a stereo to Mono Y splitter to have an extra function on each switch. When I plugged in a splitter . The default functions were disabled.

What I'm trying to do is: use one port to function as a left mouse button/click/hold and the other port to function as a mode and off/on.

I assume I need to do something in the Rnet programmer. Any suggestions?

Yes. OEM required I think.

READ the r-net technical pdf. And the specific joystick tech pdf.

Hi, can anyone confirm that all software types work with all dongles?

As in there is only one type of dongle, and the software you use (OEM/Dealer) makes the difference.
Or is it that there are OEM/Dealer dongles, so OEM software will only work with an OEM dongle, etc.
