We love to add numerous gadgets on chair that want neat switches.

I want to leave my charge plug remain attached to chair when I have to remove lithium pack. Balance leads need seperated.

Building a 200Ah pack in two halves is much easier to handle for women. Now you need plugs.

I had 2 buttons on my street/drag bike.

1. Air shifter. Punch the button to shift up, in .05 of a second, when the shift light blinds you...
2. 2nd stage nitrous, as soon as it stops wheelieing and wheelspinning (often at the same time) during the first 200 feet or so after launch. Adds another 130 horsepower regardless of RPMs. Or breaks something... On top of the throttle operated 1st stage nitrous, already giving around 250hp off the line.
It all gets quite exiting.

John what max speed did that produce when you was racing.

Drag racing is only 1/4 mile. 440 yards. So top speeds are not achieved. That takes around 1.5 miles, with another 1/4 mile to safely stop. (which the magazine I worked for did at bruntingthorpe. As such it was only geared for 180MPH at the redline in top gear.

On a 1/4 mile run, street tyres, no wheelie bars, it did 8.1secs to 171mph. But was still accelerating very hard.

It had adequate power to do 250 mph at a guess. But that would have needed different gearing. It ran into the rev limiter at 180mph on the road like you were in 2nd gear.

Well big jap bikes are missiles that are around 130 to 160 bhp stock. Many do near 200 mph, and some do under 10 secs quarter mile easily.
My turbo bikes had around 300bhp at the rear wheel, plus 150hp extra of nitrous oxide in case you were not already winning... So max hp of around 450.

But today, you can buy a kawasaki that is supercharged, with that power level as stock, complete with warranty...

They have just 320hp.

I use the solder-free connectors. They are really good.

Till one comes loose, or corrodes a year down the line. Solder, heat shrink, does not fail or go high resistance. Screw connectors

I made my own leg wind shield and screen wind shield for the mob scooter out of polycarbonate. It works well and has lasted a few years. I pop-riveted it in place. Polycarbonate is new discovery for me and is a great material.

Re wind shield for a powerchair. It might seem a bit silly but held horizontally a large umbrella like a golf umbrella works well as wind shield. With a powerchair if I'm not outside for long I prefer to use a large umbrella than faffing around with rain capes and waterproofs.

Not sure it 'me' either and too flimsy, but I've long been thinking about a bigger version of a child's buggy rain-cover (powered of course) that folds away neatly behind me... working on the principle that I'd have a separate waterproof leg covering it only needs to extend just past the JSM, and stop just below the arm-rests, just above my knees.
