Any Colorado people interested in a Bounder?

I love this chair but, reason I'm selling is I can't afford a van to transport myself. Too heavy for any transportation in my area. I will post pictures but I wanted to gauge interest.

Depends. I bought a 12.5K chair, that was absolutely unused. And had a power centre footplate added at my request. And I paid 4.4K inc warranty. It had been previously sold and returned in the same month. With single figure miles. No eveidence of any use at all even on tyres. It seems to have sat doing nothing. It all depends on if the right seller turns up. If its exactly what they want you might get your price. If not it will remain like most chairs unsold. So its a lottery.

I am in Colorado and in the past have considered looking for a used Bounder. I am not currently looking to add a wheelchair to my collection.

I have bought 4 used wheelchairs. In the past, I have paid between $500 and $3,500 for a used wheelchair. If I was looking for a used Bounder, I would pass at the price you are asking.

When buying a used wheelchair there are a lot of things I take into account. First, I know from experience that I will need to put $1,000 or more likely $2,000 into various items to get it to fit me and support me in the way that I need. I know that there will be no warranty and that insurance will not cover repairs to the wheelchair.

Yours has a DX controller, so my RX dongle would not work with it. And, I suspect it would be underpowered compared to an RNet 120 power module.

All in all, I think asking $8,000 would be too much for many buyers. But, you don't know unless you try.

I have worked with NuMotion in Denver on Smith Road.

In the past they have done work on wheelchairs that I bought used. I have had to pay out of pocket for the parts and for the work. They have said they will only work with new parts they procure.
Because they are a DME, they can be quite expensive.

Obviously, when they work on my wheelchair that insurance paid for, insurance covers the cost of repairs (minus deductibles, copay, etc.).

Note that the techs I used to have work on my chair at NuMotion are all gone now. They have mostly new folks, some of whom seem to be good mechanically, but most of whom don't seem to know much about wheelchairs (in my opinion).

For a more cost effective solution, I look for the parts I need on ebay. Buying used wheelchair parts can be very cost effective. If you or someone you know can turn a wrench, then they should be able to install most wheelchair parts. Generally they are pretty easy to work on.
