"Expensive" R-Net dongle B on ebay £455

Postby Dan » 10 Oct 2021, 18:41

Its an auction with a starting bid of £450.
It also looks a bit battered for having been used only twice.

Sensible price for anything used starts around half price at best. So thats not cheap!

I believe that eBay member is also a member on here. :problem:

A *lightly* used one would be worth about £200. That dongle is all scratched up, so probably worth no more than £100.

Everything in the world is worth what someone will pay for it.

No, just a reality isn't it? No bids and it's overpriced, bids then that's its value?

Yes, it's easy to say after someone's bid was my point however.

Value will always be subjective. To whoever has bid it's value to them. It certainly saves the hassle of importing. If it works without an issue the condition of a dongle is immaterial really.

Its like this. Other peoples bids are irrelivant. Ignore them.

You decide what its worth TO YOU. What is the max you would pay. And bid that amount with 5 seconds to go. And only that amount.

Possibly dyslexic and genuinely sees 'Rent' instead of the actually product of R-Net?

Either that or he's pulling our legbags.

The market sets the price.

Indeed it does, but to me it's not worth £450 second hand. For that price I'd want a brand new one.

Thats why the market sets the price. In this case it might sell even at a high price because not everyone knows where to buy one at all. And thats what he is relying on.

It sold for £450, one bid. Basically new price but without the hassle of buying one from America.

There is another one on ebay for £400. Unfortunately its the dealer version.
