Frontier Seat and Programming

Postby wchl25 » 10 Nov 2021, 23:29

After many years of fighting with insurance and getting nowhere I just bought a nice used 2012 Frontier V6 off Ebay.

The chair has tilt, recline, and elevating leg rests. I don't need all that stuff, I just want to maintain the tilt. So I am looking for the oem seat back with the flip down headrest. I am located in Southeast Michigan and am willing to travel or have it shipped.

I am also looking for the programming dongle for it. I believe it has the Dynamic Shark system on it. Should I keep this or upgrade to the DX2?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

DX2. Programming is easy TO GET but quite hard to figure out on dynamic stuff. I can show you where the software can be found PM me. And a cable can be easily made or at small cost supplied by woodygb on this forum. Personally I would change it all to R-net though.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. The chair was in another state and I finally just got it home.

I'm most interested in which system is more powerful as I plan on using the chair primarily off road for hunting. I thought the DX2 delivered more power?

If I did go with the rnet, would I have to change the motor plugs or are they the same?

Thanks

R-net and DX2 are 120A max for a few secs. Both then reduce current and do so in relation to heat and time.

The motor plugs are different.

Then I would probably go with the rnet since I already have the programming dongle and software.

Do you know where I could get the plugs for the motors?

As a kit directly from PGDT. Or removed from an old set of pgdt chair motors and spliced to your motor cables.

I emailed PGDT today about the plug kit for the motors. When looking at the rnet computers on ebay they have a number on the front. example D50946.17 this is just a software version correct? Does it matter which one you get?

I never took any notice. Just bought the crrect power module by amps, and correct seating module by looking for the common ism6 modules.

Have a look and read this bunch of posts.
