Woo hoo! (just saw your reply today - not getting email that reply occurred)

Ok. a few questions. Does it have the P&G joystick? I have a PP1 programmer and prefer to max out most settings, speed, turn, can't drift without changing the settings.

Can I assume that the 1420 works okay? Not concerned about batteries -- I'm assuming they may be old, needing replacement. I'll have to do that. Does it use the "standard" (at that time) rails for mounting a seat?

What part of Mass? My sister lives there, Lexington? You'd think that I would know!

It would be a trip for me!! I'm disabled, (duh), and any activity over 2 or 3 hours can be exhausting. As I remember, from my home (Frederick, MD) to her place is about 7 or 8 hours from here. You wouldn't be going by Maryland anytime in the next year?

As for an offer, well, I gotta think about it. I'm on a SS income only. (other than the latest stimulus $) But we're not in debt other than the home mortgage. So we're making it - just. I recently bought a big wc that I hate. ..want to get rid of it.

Of all the wc's I've owned or borrowed, the 1420 was my favorite. So here I am, age 67, poor health, but still want to get around. (keep up with the grandkids)

Wish I had something of worth to trade. I once owned a decent guitar long ago but disability prevented me from playing at all so I sold it. I have a touchscreen Dell 5558, upgraded memory and SSD, I'm not using anymore... Interested? Just looked it up. Not worth a whole lot even with upgraded memory and SSD. Maybe you're not interested in a trade.. (you can have the big wheelchair that I just bought! just kidding)

I'll talk with my wife. I'm not sure she's up for a trip that far -- maybe..

Well, you can email me directly but not sure how to send you my email on a public forum..

Ah. Can't delete or edit post. My last post was in error -- didn't notice post dates. Thot dude replied but it was his old (2012!) post.

Oh well. My bad.

If you got here -- I'm still wanting to obtain a Jazzy 1420 or similar wc.

Thanks,
Ed

Keep an eye on eBay. I've scored some very good deals there. Check it often. A lot of private sales are "local pickup only" so use the distance filter to narrow down your search results. Good luck.

No idea how far is too far but this one says South Easton, Massachusetts.

Needs batteries but other than that does genuinely look like a brand new 20 year old chair.

This also looks in good condition but is overpriced. I'd be offering max $500 for it as even though it's nice it's still a 20 year old chair.

Thank you Bubbernator and foghornleghorn. Yeah, I'm still looking for one. But Saugerties, New York is almost 6 hours ... 12 hours round trip. I'm not able to handle that.

But your advice is good. I'll check eBay.
