ISO IMS Rampvan Ramp Motor

Postby Rye » 01 Feb 2020, 00:24

I'm looking for a used IMS Rampvan ramp motor Braun Part# RW-5190KS. I snapped the threaded extensions coming off the gearbox and a new motor would cost more than this van is worth.

If you have the motor off look for a number and if there's one try a web search of it. There's a good chance that the motor is a common one used on other automotive applications, like for a power window. Do you have a picture handy?

When you say 'threaded extensions'are these studs or what? A picture would help...

This is the motor that operates the ramp on IMS Rampvans and many Braun vans...and probably many others.

It's just an RV slide out motor. You can save money by not buying a "mobility" version. I bought one last year because the mounting supports had snapped. One year later they've snapped again. Cast aluminum! I will be adding reinforcement this time.
