What do you mean by joystick cable? The CANbus cable that connects it to other module(s) or a programming cable? If CANbus, what length do you need? I have several of various lengths and would be glad to send one to you gratis if that's what you need. If programming cable, depends on whether your joystick has a Hirose jack or uses the XLR - Woody is the best one to help you with that.

Lenny, its the cable that connects the Dynamic DX2 joystick to the power module, I would think it would have to be 1-1.5 meter

That''s a DXbus (or CANbus) cable and I think it comes in both 1 and 1.5 meter lengths (and a number of others) so you'll have to measure. I'll check what lengths I have and get back to you.

Here's a list of the DX bus cables I have:

one 30 cm new + one used
four 50 cm new + one used
one 1 meter + one used
one 1.5 meter + one used

If any of these would be of use, send me a PM with your street address and I'll put a package in the mail (normal PosteItaliane service).

Ciao,
Lenny

P.S. I do like these cables as they are robust with good connectors and with reasonable pricing. I would have used them on my homemade CANbus system if the matching sockets were available, but they are proprietary and not sold separately from the modules.

Hi, Lenny, I am customizing a Invacare S646 se and changing the electronics to Dynamic DX2 . I think the 1.5 m would be the best to be safe. I really appreciate your offer. I might have to lean on your knowledge of the Dynamic Dx2 system. I have built a BM2 type chair with a the frame from the Uk. I have the Dynamic Dx2 OEM software and dongle that I bought when I built that chair 8 years ago. This S646 se has tilt and I am not sure about hooking up the tilt yet.
Thanks for your offer and help
John Nattrass.
I also need the plastic wire cover On a DX2 ( I got it repaired in the USA and he didn't send the cover and has since passed away. )

I don't know what the plastic wire cover on a DX2. In any case I won't have one as Rachi's system was DX not DX2. My DX system knowledge has gone unused for a good few years, so I think you are much better off downloading all the manuals from the Dynamic web site and learning from them. When I get your address, I'll send you that 1.5m cable.

I don't know what you need to run actuators given your joystick and DX2 PM - on Rach's setup we had a CLAM (combined lighting and actuator module). You're welcome to have that too, but in that case I'd have to ask you to pay postage as it's pretty heavy. (DX and DX2 modules can be mix and match.)

I think he has an REM550 joystick. That has a small plastic cover tht screws on the bottom. Only place you will likely get one will be dynamic.

We have here a copy of the wizard software. It needs no dongle. And it goes one better than dealer/User/OEM and allows what they call sevice access. Which can be very useful...

I just noticed that you are in Canada. You should check prices at http://www.rosstron.com/. They are the U.S. Dynamic distributor but will sell directly to end users if you send them an e-mail with part numbers and descriptions. That might actually cost you less for new than shipping an old module from Italy. I won't know the mail cost until I bring it to the post office, so if you do want it (after checking with Rosstron) I will send it and then tell you how much to pay to my e-mail address.

I don't have actuator-to-CLAM connector kit - your best bet for that is Rosstron.

I can't give you shipping info until you give me your mail address. I will then pack up the CLAM, a 1.5M bus cable and a 0.5M cable (for CLAM to PM) and take the package to the post office. If it seems high, I won't send it before letting you know. If it seems reasonable, I'll go ahead and send it and then you can reimburse me after it gets to you. I just took a look on Ebay.it and Ebay.com - there are lots of used CLAM modules, all in the UK, and ranging from USD 26 to USD 50 with USD 18 shipping to Edmonton. Gives me an idea for when I go to the post office.

Hi Seajays,

Packed it up and found the PosteItaliane rate table. Weighs less than my memory said - a bit less than 1kg for the CLAM, 2 bus cables, and I threw in a couple short motor/brake connectors with leads in case you want to splice into them rather than buying new connectors. Basic mailing will not cost too much so we'll just consider it a gift. Need your mailing address though!

Ciao,
Lenny

Brought to the post office this morning, probably will not go out till Monday, and who knows how long it will then take to get to you with so many flights cancelled. Normal Italy to U.S. is 5-9 days, lately that's been more like 3 weeks, whether Canada is as badly affected (you don't have the Trump appointed postmaster general to to send trucks out empty so that they keep to schedule). Be patient.
