We made a huge mistake, that's a shame on Hong Kong.

Zero evacuation at all, even when they saw fire jumped from the initial apartment block to another building , and another, till 7 building blocks were a huge inferno.

Just a month ago, on 19 Oct, 2025, same bamboo scaffolding fire occurred. No sever casualty. I don't know if it were good thing. No lesson learnt till this catastrophe.

Really upset to see such incident occurred in modern city like us. What are we missing ?

Common sense in many ways.

Building and living vertically is always a mistake regardless of the type of scaffolding. But we do it regardless in big cities.

I said on here previously that I would never live in any flat, or property where someone lived below me that I had to rely on even if it was only 2 floors. Someone with a frying pan fire, e-scooter or hobby battery or just a smoker can kill you. Been happening forever across the world. Its not really about the scaffolding.

Even upstairs in a house is risky if you are disabled and cannot escape via a window or something.
