The Mobility software will "talk" to the SOLO...but WILL NOT PROGRAM the SOLO controller....

You need a handheld programmer SP1 OEM version or the Industrial software.Image

Thats the £64,000 question

I imagine the industrial pc programming software is almost impossible to get as it's hard enough trying to buy the mobility version.

Hi guys,

I have a chairman with a pilot + system that Im trying to use for a project.
I was trying to find the programming software for the power module but bandwidth exceeded it said. Is there any updated link to the software?

I dont know if this is the right board for this other question, but I'll ask away :)
The chair is fully functioning except it does not move! Brakes does not release, wheels do not turn.
Seat actuators, lights and so on works. I get no error flash on the bar graph display, but if I disconnect a brake or a motor it registers a fault and makes a flashing pattern.. It just does not move when pulling the stick.
Is there more inhibits than the cable from the manual brake release? Or what can cause this problem for me?

Thanks in advance!

There can be more inhibits, or reversed ones. All can be cancelled in programming.

I am assuming by chairman, you mean Permobil Chairman?
On Permobil Chairman, the most common reason for a drive inhibit is the connection to the freewheel lever switch. Just in front of the right motor (as sitting in the chair), there is a small black connector. If you follow the wires back from the switch, it's easy to find. It is very easy to pull the wires just enough, when putting new batteries in, for example, to unplug this connector. I've had that call, probably a hundred times.
You have to remove a few covers to access it, but that's where I would start.
depending on configuration, it could also be inhibited because the seat is raised (or thinks it is). There could be other possible, as well.
hope this helps

I found the problem.. The two control boxes for the actuators was mixed with the boxes from another chair. I swapped them, and checked all inhibits I could find in the schematic.
Now it runs fine!

Can someone help me get a recent manufacturing version (Level C) of the software? I'm looking for version 14 or later.
I do have an older version but it doesn't read some controllers.

I do not know if this is of help to anyone, but I came across a download link at the US Permobil site. The R-Net software seems to install fine on my Win7 PC, but I have no dongle so cannot connect to my C500.

How easy is it to get hold of a dongle? I would not mind starting with a dealer version to see if I can get the chair to behave itself.

Anyone can buy one. Dealer = end user, same thing. You can even find someone WITH an OEM version and let him reprogram your R-net to have DEALER level On Board Programming built in. Or rather enabled. Since its already in there!
