Thanks Carlo, but it’s not as simple as sending something up to you. We customise the remote sockets, so it will need to be fitted to the chair here I’m afraid.
As for the knocking noise, I have received the following from our engineering department:
The gearbox in our chair has helical gears, which mean that the shaft moves axially when the torque is reversed which causes a knocking sound. This is not a problem mechanically. There is nothing that can be done about this.
We can certainly check the chair over and see if there is anything wrong, but we can’t give unrealistic expectations. The reason helical gears are used is for strength, changing to spur gears to reduce/eliminate the knock would compromise the strength of the gearbox.
