Worth noting that the biggest difference in price I found when shopping for batteries was in shipping cost - I specified delivery to my house in MA within 10 business days or less, and everyone's quote at least claimed that - but the shipping charges varied by over $500 for the same goods...

$700 is on the VERY high range of what I got for quotes, especially for 'slow-boat' post...

Unless I'm mistaken, Shirley is quoting HKD, not USD. Unless I'm mistaken, the HKD/USD ratio right now is 7.78/1, so not so bad.

I'm still interested. :)

Shirley, is this something you can facilitate? I'd like 18 of these cells, 16 minimum.

Let me know

Here comes the hardest part .

Post office won't take battery . Therefore , I can only send them out anonymously . This gonna be a hit-and-miss . :x

No way 16 of those fit in a Group 24 space.

So you drop ship them and I pray they don't get intercepted by customs or something?

Sadly that's the best I can do . :(

Seller asked for US$450.00 for shipping 16 cells to the USA .

Yeah that's about the same shipping quote they gave me - so shipping would cost as much as the batteries.

Its still a decent deal *if* the batteries are as advertised. But not quite as appealing as before.

I could fit a 160Ah worth of these cells in my chairs.

But at 220mm, probably a bit on the tall side to fit your new chair, BM.

Another user sent me this link - i know it uses a BMS - and it may be too large i think to fit - But if it can fit in someones chair - this would be a real plug and play - not sure how good it would work - cost is not bad for a large size also

you would need two of these and thats it - total cost looks like it can be under $1000 for everything - would need a faster charger than 3A thats for sure -

figure i post it here if anyone may be interested -

2 of those wont fit will they? Or if your battery area is just right for odyssey, you can get 4 in.So 200Ah. But the real problem is that more compact because its a lithium ion battery. 500 to 1000 cycles, and it burns really well!

I could fit four of those. But those packs aren't LiFePO4

OK for those that can get off the chair fast and run away. But a fault or overcharge due to bms failure etc may burn your house down.

http://www.lifepo4.in/lifepo4.html

but they say - show lifepo4 ? i though there was only one kind of LifePo4 ? that can be confusing then for others searching around - i though once i see LifePo4 - as the battery type - that was the safe one - and then of course all the other details need to be good enough - size - if it has a BMS which they all do - etc, etc,

isnt this LIfepo4 pack ? if so - for $500 delivered - you get it ready made 24V 40ah pack - plug and play - if thats correct - its an option - even if not the best option -

This one is not LiFePO4. It's Lithium ion.

This one is LiFePO4. But only 40Ah. No better than lead. And two won't fit.

Ok - i figured the one that is Life and at 40ah - can be used as a ADD ON maybe for someone who isnt willing or wants a simple plug and play -

i am not interested in them really but like to see how things are getting closer to one day - its a doable thing - even if not perfect solution -

its easy enough to make a ADD ON - but still some may not be able or willing to do it - and rather just have a plug and play even if not perfect

Manufactures are reluctant to use low cut-off BMS like the one I bought you .

Instead , they are MORE eager to pump up the capacity , by using BMS with high cut-off , 3.75 /3,85 V . Cells will get swelling , in a year or two .

Battery monitoring after natural ~30Ah discharge (of 84Ah total) in still and with movement loading, also charge graph later.

Seems that difference -0.007V for cell8 are all time the same.

p.s. remove ".zip"

i see - if the BMS you got for me is used in these packs - then they could be a good option - if size fits in a backpack etc, - i am sure even the bounder Chair which had a lithium option - i believe they charge up to 29.2v - to get them all full and balanced - i think that comes out to 3.65V a Cell - thats still a safe level ? its the very top of the safe level -

0.007v isn't much. Most multimetres are not that accurate and couldn't measure it. But theres is a reason. It may even be a charger calibration fault. Or slightly bad cell, or bad connection/loose bolt. Its so small that I might ignore it for now. And keep an eye on it.
