On packed snow,the wheels do not sink in. On soft snow,they do. Where I ride it is almost impossible to accurately predict where the transition from firm to soft snow will be. I have broken through the snow and been completely stuck several times.

As my disease has progressed, I have learned to be a bit more cautious about getting stuck!
It is a great wheelchair that has allowed me to do many things, but it does have its limitations.
