BM i checked my stock rims - they are very close to 2 inches inside width - also cant do the 3 part rim with this style rim

wont work - i will just get another set of the same tires i always used 350-8 - and keep for a spare -

1.75 inch is exactly the same as mine were.

When you add the extra part you are adding more than 1 inch because you cut the rim "edge" off, and the thickness if that is added too.

not happening on this style rim

its different from you rims - you cant add half of one rim in the middle of one set

so thats not going to happen on those rims - i wanted to check since i had them - only way to do it - is get your style rims - and change the hubs on the motors - and thats way too much effort to do -

my hubs are different than yours - and even if i had the hubs - i would need two sets of rims - and then removing old hubs - in the past turned out to be very hard and was not able to remove -

i tried - so far two strikes - BT and tire rims - - i have one more chance - wonder whats next that wont work out - cant win them all

overall i cant complain - the tires i am using are nice and have a nice look to it - good size width - chair looks a ton better -

new chair will feel even better with those front slicks - and i moved them down on the fork to level the front end better - i havnt used it yet since - but just looking at it - its better - i am sure will feel better riding - after one summer - they wear out the middle a bit - and flatten it also -

i got a custom box made for the switch box - i didnt expect it - i did suggest it - and it was made - small black box fits right over the switch box with a lid - flip it up - use it - flip it down - i added foam to the top so my wrist leans on the foam -

next i want to change knob on JS - to a mushroom kind - if i can - i may remove headrest also - i always do - but i didnt on this chair yet because of recline function - i dont recline that much but i may like it sometimes -

will order another set of the same tire - bring it to bike shop - have them mount it on my rims and put it away in case i need to swap out

now i have two extra sets of rims - chrome and brand new stock tires tubes - no use for them - not that many - another set with tires mounted also - so 3 sets - one will be my spare with big tires - two more no use really - maybe ebay

BM would this tire be the same size as those slicks we got ? 300-4 8 inch ?

i believe they emailed me a cost of $20 - tire and tube set - not bad at all and they look cool

i like to keep the size as wide as i can - the slick we have now are nice width - size and very strong -

i wonder how strong the material is on this one - 4ply or thinner

No. Unless they are for a 4 inch rim. They look weak though.

Same tyre.I think the load rating is higher on this tyre than the slicks you have, but I can't remember for sure.

i dont know what the slick rating is - its 4 ply

1/8 inch difference. They also have the black 280-250-4 tyre that match the grey ones that came on your chair.

yeah i seen those and have those already - i have them on my other chair - but to be honest - the new one - the slick - 300-8 is better than those - i will replace those with the slicks when they wear out - and for some reason even though they have the same size marking on the tire

the original one grey - i dont like - but its bigger also than the others - given the same size -

the slick is the new tire that i think feels best - and very strong - i had a hard time getting the tube in there - run it on 14 Psi and feels fine - so far at least - i was expecting it to have a harder ride but it wasnt bad - easier to clean when you get home - wet cloth wipe it -

rims maybe i like to try the others MBS or similar but i dont need them really - i have a spare set - that i will swap out tires with another set of slicks i guess -

They are not the same size.

The slick is a lower profile tyre and its size is 8 x 3.00 - 4. The first "8" is overall diameter. And 3 inches wide.
The treaded tyre is 2.80/250 - 4. And is 9 inch diameter. (2.5 + 4+ 25 = 9 inches diam.). And 2.8 inches wide.

Slick tyres are meant for traction . That will make turning difficult , itsn't it ?

Doesent make any difference as far as you can tell. Tread is meant to remove water at high speed. Not needed at wheelchair speed! The rubber compound is the same as all the other turf tyres. So not a problem. The flatter profile does make turning in place slightly harder. It also makes it less likely to shake. They work better on grass too. Since they exert less pressure. They are turf tyres anyway.

that slick tire is the best front caster tire i used so far - its wider then all of the others - its stronger than the others - i only used the chair twice so far - soon i will be using it more often - rear tires are on - looks much better now - now i have too many rim sets for this chair

may ebay 2 sets - have new stock tires also - if anyone wants to buy some chrome black rims and tires tubes etc, - PM me we can work it out
