NEED HELP!! Omegatrac air system

Postby crypmanii » 09 Apr 2021, 23:47

I'm probably one of the few people who still use an Omegatrac. Just today I was replacing one of the Dynamco air valves and the threaded elbow fitting on the side of the valve broke on the threaded end. I know that the air tube is 4mm but I'm not sure what size the threaded end is. Does anyone here know what size fitting it is and where I might be able to find one on short notice? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Will be a pipe thread. In the UK it would be bspt. And 1/8th or 1/4 or whatever. If old. Or metric if modern.

In the US no idea!

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately I can't take a picture. I was able to get a quarter turn on the remaining threads and its barely holding for now. Was hoping someone had dealt with this situation on an Omegatrac before and knew what size these fittings were. Fingers crossed someone has some first hand experience with these air packs.

Agree with Mr.B, most likely pipe threads if air is involved.

Take the broken fitting to your local pneumatics specialist on your nearest dock, industrial estate etc, and let him give you the correct part. He will id it by eye in seconds.

This is a push on 4mm fitting, yes they work reliably! and an 1/8th male BSPT thread. Other sizes are available. https://www.bearingboys.co.uk/Male-Tape ... tud-3859-p

90 degree version https://www.bearingboys.co.uk/Male-Stud ... bow-3943-p

4mm to 1/4 https://www.bearingboys.co.uk/Male-Stud ... ud--3836-p

Etc. Also in 4mm tube to male m5 m5 and m7 and m8...

You can look up the specs, if you know the make and model of the valve.

I did look at that chart but the model number on my valve is D1X555-3 and I'm not seeing that on the chart. Very strange.
