No cycle life data. So probably need 3 of them to last as long as an MK gel. But not enough info to tell. If it had decent cycle life in traction applications I feel sure they would be shouting about it.

You need cycles down to 80% depth of discharge. Untill 80% of original 75Ah capacity remains. MK is 550 for example. I doubt they will know. And will invent a number... Its intended as a car starter/leisure type battery. Even though they claim deep cycle use, so do the leisure batteries! And they last about 4 months.

Unfortunately with batteries you get what you pay for generally.

What you (me actually!) need is a proper spec sheet.

Like these:

That is a concern, I have used other batteries from them with excellent results. They are out of NJ USA and for one year warranty will also pay the shipping for the return.

But without a proper spec sheet its impossible to say good or bad or in between!

I can see that they are lower impedance than many cheap batteries which is good (not as good as MK gel, and half as good as Odyssey), but that generally means stronger acid electrolyte. And that frequently results in shorter life if discharged deeply due to unwanted impurities reacting. Unless some high quality (expensive) pure lead is used like odyssey. So who knows what the cycle life will be like.

I can say that the normal gel charge voltage is 14.1V at room temperature. These say 14.6 to 14.9. Which is either because thay are really AGM, and mislabled, or because thats what most vehicles and chargers do. And they dont want to lose out! So again, it isnt logical... More of a sell sheet than proper specs.

The impedance is good enough that they will work OK but they might not last as long as you hope! But they are cheaper. So swings and roundabouts.

Why are you paying out of pocket?

Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance?

Just throwing this out there for folks in the northeastern US.
MK is manufactured by East Penn Manufacturing. Website here:
https://www.eastpennmanufacturing.com/

They market several brands. MK, Deka, etc.
MK is the flagship of their deep cycle line although I'm curious as to how it stacks up against the Deka marine series.
Anyway, if you're ever in the neighborhood of Eastern Pennsylvania, they are in Lyons, PA. North of Philly and west of Allentown.
They have a factory outlet store there where you can buy batteries that have minor cosmetic defects for a substantial discount off of the retail price. It's worth stopping by if you're in the area.
Have a glorious weekend, gents.

I bought a set of U1 Gels that were Mighty Max. I got @ 8 months out of them but back then I only used my chair @ 2hrs a day, some days not at all. Also, I found that my charger was for AGM's. My previous set of gels (don't know the brand) had lasted @10months. They were a lot cheaper, almost half the price. Don't know if that helps.
