I haven't tried this, and don't plan to as I like my Shirley wheels and adapter that I made, but I suspect that one could make a spacer for most split wheels by simply doing a disk out of aluminum plate of the right thickness (or possibly multiple disks of thinner plate and stacking...)
I'd probably do it by making a CAD drawing and firing up the CNC mill, but I'd bet it could be done w/ a drill press and saber saw w/ a metal blade....
OD of the disk would be the diameter of the split rim at the seam. ID would be the diameter of the bolt circle that holds the halves together + enough to fit the circle...
As a secondary question - If I have the Shirley wheels with 3.50-8 tires on them now, would the 90/80-8 tires be a good replacement choice, or would there be a better option besides the 3.50-8?
