I nearly spat out my coffee when I saw the prices of the mono/stereo jack extension leads.... What do they come with? A gold coated cable? czy

Mono lead is £109 and the Stereo one is £140! You can make these for under £10.

Yes. IF you know how. And IF you can solder a wire... There are members here that will spend hundreds or wait months, to get a bodge of adapters or other ways of connecting things because they are terrified of soldering a wire. Which as you know is trivial.

Even if you can't solder, if the plugs are the standard 1/8" or 1/4" style, any decent electronics / computer / music store is likely to have extensions that would work albeit possibly w/ out the same choice in lengths... (I haven't looked at the cables so not sure about the plug type...)

It's one thing when they are using 'oddball' special purpose connectors like the JS-PM cables on a Pilot+ but for 'commodity' connectors it seems more than a bit of a rip-off...

This begs the question why become a drug dealer if you can be a wheelchair dealer or manufactorer. Of course, a lot of brands are already owned (as of 2021) by venture capitalist firms (e.g. Sunrise, Permobil, etc.) In fact, the only odd ones are "Otto Bock" being privately held and Invacare for making operating losses for the last 10 years and counting. Its funny being disabled! ;)
My rides:
1 BM2/BM3 with 120 A R-Net and Odessey (Lithium in 2016)
1 SKS Swiss VIVA (spare, as only NF22 size battery)
2 Progeo YOGA (for traveling)

If they didnt make such stupid design choices, didnt allow incompetant techs to go around swapping everything 5 times, and rationalised options etc to simplify stock and options (never bother with anything other than 4 pole/120A for e.g) then all of this could be much cheaper for stock/supply. But because of how inneficient the are they dont make much profit or no profit even charging rediculous prices. We end up paying for this. And for all the rules and certification etc.

As an end user then obviously if you are prepared to do a bit of work, and learn what is what, for e.g. solder up a cable. Then you are of course massively better off ££££ $$$$ and you dont have to rely in their incompetant inefficient system/techs. As usual, with EVERY PART of life, knowledge is power.
