it is so funny reading you
when you are speaking about your van wheels what do you say ?
18 inche or the overall diameter ?
The word wheel can mean the rim, which on my van are 19 inch.
Or the word wheel when used on a wheelchair in particular can mean 8 inch or 10 inch as in normally used in casters. So a 9 inch caster means the complete tyre/wheel assembly diameter.
YOU were talking about your 6 inch "wheels" when you meant 6 inch rim.As thats what you have. Because the complete wheel is 14 inch diameter.
And the normal wheel, that almost every powerchair uses is a 8 inch narrow 14 inch tyre "wheel". And that uses an 8 inch rim. The only difference between the two wheels you are talking about is the WIDTH. The 8 AND THE 6 INCH "WHEELS" ARE THE EXACT SAME OVERALL DIAMETER. MAGIC MOBILITY ALSO SUPPLY AN 8 INCH WHEEL that will fit straight on your chair. Its 14 inch diameter...
Look at the picture below. It shows the extra "size" and height and with my aftermarket wheels (18 x 8.5j ET35 with 245/50/18vr tyres) fitted it looks better and more substantial than the original vehicle like the blue one its parked next to..
No picture.
But its easily possible to have a 6 inch rim, with a large tyre that is a massive diameter. And an 8 inch rim with a very low profile tyre that is SMALLER diameter.
The size of the rim does not determine the wheels complete diameter. That depends on tyre size and profile.
For e.h my van USED to have 16 inch rims. And 215/80 tyres. Now its got 19 inch rims. And the tyres are WIDER, on wider rims, but low profile 45% so that the OVERALL DIAMETER is exactly the same.
You have a fundametal lack of understanding of tyre and rim sizing. I dont!
You CAN fit bigger tyres to any sized rim... Thats what determines overall diameter.
i know, maybe better than 98/100 here what is a 6 inche wheel and what is a 8 one
No you dont.
And thats the problem.
when you ask the garage for 15 or 16 inche wheels for your Chevy he knows what that mean but you no ...
Wrong, I absolutely understand rim sizing, tyre sizing in metric and in imperial. To a degree that many here already recognise. But you do not know enough to understand that! You dont understand enough about many things to also understand how little you know.
so and i hope 99/100 here will understand i want to put 8 inche RIME on my x8 instead of my 6 inche RIME with Kenda Scorpion 19x7-8
If you increase your TYRE and therefore overall wheel from 14 inch that you have now, to the 19 inch that you want then you really will suffer heat/reduced torque to a high degree. A 5 inch diameter ncrease will kill your motors performance and increase current by a high level. 37% increase in Amps to the motors all of the time. And a 37% decrease in torque... But you know more than e so in your mind it will be OK because you "prefer" your woo woo over the facts.
do not be afraid as i write this before, my motor gear are 1/32 instead of 1/25 the stock one so 25/100 lower speed and 19 inche overall vs 14 inche stock tire is ... around 25/100 more
Its a 27 percent difference. You are making a 37% difference. It will help. But thats irrelivant anyway, because we are talking about relative differences. Theres is no it will/wont wear/burn. Its all about percentages and longevity and possible early failure etc. Yours as a sample of 1 may be OK, maybe not. Nobody knows. But it will have less torque and more heat.
my motor will not burn thanks to god
Now you are expecting your imaginary freind to save you from reality of physics? You are delusional.
You told me your motors already burned and wires too. You are a mass of contradiction.
And no, two extra cells do NOT reduce motor current at all in any way! So thats NOT what cured your problem unless you use different physics to the rest of the universe?
Quite the opposite in fact. It only reduces battery current and makes the power module run closer to its max limit, and above its design nominal voltage limit.
This 19 inch diameter tyres, will make it 37% higher current AT ALL SPEEDS. Expect rollback and that feels like it wont "go"... Its all relative.
And theres no god(s) or unicorns, or fairies or elves that can help you. Thats all brainwashing and woo woo bullshit!
But feel free to carry on. Ask yourself though. Why bother asking the questions if you dont like the CORRECT answers? Try to be logical.
