Strange that is BM, since it's supposed to be *cough cough* the most stable and secure OS. :roll: :lol: I remember you saying you had less problems when this website was hosted on a Windows Server machine. :geek: That says a lot about Linux's stability. :fencing

It wasnt this site. But many sites I used to have. But yes the windows hosting was much easier and problem free. And more expensive...

This outage was because some new hardware upgrade wasnt liked by linux... Driver issues.

Sounds like also bad practice by the hosting company - hardware and software upgrades should be tested off-line BEFORE putting them on 'live' systems.....

(regardless of O/S and other factors...)

Dev-ops / system admin 101 lesson for anything that needs reliability....=
