Customizing A Powerchair

I would like to build a better powerchair using my old(20yrs) quickie P320. Can you help guide me in starting with a list of what to buy & where? I will be having someone helping with this but I have to buy the parts & come up with step by step instructions, so I will need this to be as simple as possible, as I have never done anything like this before.

The first thing you need to know is what you are aiming to achieve?

And what you mean by better? Everything you do or change has to be for a reason, and is inevitably a compromise one way or another depending on your needs and requirements. Theres no abc list or plans to make something better.
