What is your next new chair? And what is your dream chair?

Postby fishinjunky » 04 Dec 2021, 14:38

[*]Just wanted to see out of curiosity what everyone's planning to get for their next chair even if its way down the road. I have 4 years. And what would your dream chair be?

My top 3 choices for my next chair:

1. Quickie Q700r ( if available in U.S in 5 years )

2. Magic. Mobility V4

3. Bounder 300

My dream chair:
Would be a bounder 300 fitted with 48v Roboteq electronics and the largest lifepo4 pack I can fit. Also with custom tubeless rims.

I really like the Q700r of yours. I would like to get one an modify it like that and then just fix up my existing bounder 300. Do you rebuild one of your chairs each year on rotation?

Watch you'll end up being one of those that lives to be 100 just out of spite lol

I used to do. But having no dog, and being on my bed for most of the last few years meant they all look/are pretty much brand new. So not lately...

The salsa is the better chair.

Another salsa r2 for me will be fine. It's a good strong chair.

I would like a segawy conversion chair like in this video. However, I would like to make it super smooth. The seat would be connected to 4 shocks and the seat itself would have a deep cusion. Look at how much space there is to work with as far as adding shocks, cushioning and dampening devices to it.

there is a lot you could do to make it a very very smooth ride.

Permobil M5 gen 2 to replace my M3 gen 1. Have an F5 gen 2 (non-VS) like the improved suspension, 7.5 MPH (vs 6.0 MPH) speed and 14” seat lift but would like a more agile indoor capable chair. Have no need or interest to go off road but some of the Magic Mobility chairs look quite good.

When you consider the state of the footpaths, even roads around where I live then off road style chairs seem to be pretty much essential. :cussing

Same here. Teeth get damned near rattled out everywhere round the village. Unmade roads, horse shit and mud everywhere.

Whe have shit roads here in WV to pot holes everywhere and many dirt roads or larger gravel I hate gravel the most.
Air filled tires and rear suspension are a must or spasms have me flopping all over the place

Super reliable.

The unreliability comes when you make it more complicated (permobil?)...
